When great-grandmother was a child there was no coca cola, chocolate bars or pizza. You would only have sweets at special occasions – or if your father was in a special mood on the Sunday outing. If you were lucky you might have some lemonade to share with your big sister or little brother.
At the Open-Air Museum you can see the sweets from a Danish co-op where great-grandmother might be lucky to persuade her mother and father to buy – if they were in high spirits, and there was enough money in their pockets. But the co-op was also an exciting shop to visit, even if there was no lemonade or liquorice for you.
